JOIN US FOR THE 3rd ANNUAL ACGIM CHIEFS' SUMMIT
December 7-8, 2008

Join ACGIM in beautiful Paradise Valley, Arizona Sunday, December 7th- Monday, December 8th, 2008 for a gathering of colleagues. As external forces continue to attempt to define our field, it has never been more important for leaders in GIM to work together to influence policy on issues of core importance to Generalism. This year, the Executive Committee of ACGIM wishes to harness our talented membership to discuss the Patient Centered Medical Home and in particular: Further focus will be developed in the upcoming weeks, with presentations from partner organizations, stakeholders’ and payers’ perspectives.

  • The current state of pilot projects underway demonstrating the PCMH in academic and nonacademic settings
  • Transitions in care and inpatient/outpatient ‘handoffs’

Another goal of the Summit will be to facilitate informal networking and mentoring of Chiefs in a beautiful, inspirational setting. A detailed agenda will be available in September.

The Sanctuary resort is absolutely top notch, and our speakers and facilitator enjoy excellent reputations. Nevertheless, we have made every effort to keep this event affordable for all. We hope you will attend, and that you will share this invitation with others in your Division that have a role in Division leadership. Make your reservations now and we’ll look forward to seeing you in Scottsdale in December!

Sincerely,

Deborah L. Burnet, MD
David M. Rose, MD
Summit Program Co-Chair
